AP Boosters Show Carroll Big Support

The Carroll ISD Advanced Placement (AP) Booster Organization is proud to announce the following awards, grants and donations made possible by the businesses and individuals who support the group.

At the Jan. 9 Regular Meeting of the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees, Tracy Shuck of the AP Boosters presented a check (pictured left) totaling more than $12,900 for books, biology laboratory equipment, guest speakers, foreign language software, field trips, art workshops and teacher training.

In addition, Mr. Brian Shankman (pictured right) presented a $500 Cheryl Shankman Study Abroad Scholarship to Devon Land, a senior at Carroll Senior High School. The scholarship is in memory of former AP Booster and parent volunteer Cheryl Shankman who passed away from a sudden illness in 2008.
