Dragons Go Red 2012

February is National Heart Awareness month and the Carroll Independent School District is showing its support in the fight against heart disease by hosting another “Dragons Go Red” campaign.

This is the third year CISD has helped raise money for the American Heart Association. The month long initiative includes get healthy events around the district, circulation of health-wise educational news and information as well as a limited edition “Dragons Go Red” t-shirt. The shirts cost $10 each; half of that cost goes to the American Heart Association and the other half covers the cost of the shirt. Shirts will be 100% cotton, short-sleeve crew neck, featuring the logo pictured right and screen printed by Keller Trophy. Click here to view and instructions to print the order form.

New this year, buyers can pick up their shirt at the time of purchase through the campus nurse. CISD Administration may purchase their shirts through the Communications and Marketing office. Staff members who purchase this year’s Dragons Go Red t-shirt will be allowed to wear them with jeans on Wednesdays through the month of February. Employees who prefer to wear a t-shirt from previous years may do so, with a $5 donation to the American Heart Association.

Every year, Dragons Go Red raises thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association. The t-shirt campaign is added to Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart events across the district.
