FM1709 and Northwest Hwy traffic switch to end Jan. 7

The four-night traffic switch currently taking place along Southlake Blvd. and Northwest Highway will be complete by the morning of Saturday, January 7.

As part of the traffic switch, the Northwest Highway Bridge became one-way going westbound into Southlake, and Southlake Blvd./FM 1709 became one-way going eastbound into Grapevine. Changing traffic to a temporary one-way pattern allowed NorthGate Constructors to shorten the time needed to build the new bridge connecting Northwest Highway and Southlake Blvd.

The bridge is part of the $1.02 billion DFW Connector project being built under a comprehensive development agreement between TxDOT and NorthGate Constructors. Additional information about the DFW Connector Project is available online at www.dfwconnector.com or by calling the Info Hotline at 877-411-4212.
