During the work session of the January 17 Council Meeting, staff made four recommendations to the Southlake City Council regarding possible sidewalk construction locations for FY 2012. After discussion, the Council directed staff to move forward at this time with two of the recommendations.
Council approved a recommendation to build a 2500 linear feet by 8 foot sidewalk segment on the west side of north White Chapel Blvd from north of Walnut Grove Elementary to Wingate Lane (Figure 1). The estimated cost for this segment is $180,000.
Council also approved a recommendation to build a new, 1500 linear feet by 8 feet sidewalk segment on the west side of North White Chapel Boulevard from the Cliffs Park existing sidewalk, north to King Ranch Road (Figure 2). The estimated cost for this segment is $120,000.
