The Dragon basketball team posted its second consecutive District 7-5A victory Tuesday night 90-47 against Saginaw. The Dragons improved to 12-11 overall and 2-2 in district. Carroll was led by Corey Kemp’s 15 points. He was one of five Dragons who scored in double figures. Ray Crockett added 14 points, Max Berman had 12 and Josh Stringer scored 11 and Jacob Watford had 10. Dragons scored 44 points the first half and added a 29-point outburst in the fourth quarter. Carroll returns to action Friday at Denton Guyer with tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
Lady Dragons Stay Undefeated In 7-5A
The Lady Dragons moved to 6-0 in District 7-5A with a 44-30 victory Tuesday against Saginaw. Carroll improved to 21-2 overall as Kennedy Leonard led all scorers with 15 points. Kami Mickens added 11 and Sierra Maykus had six. The Lady Dragons boosted a 10-point halftime lead by holding Saginaw to two points in the third quarter. Carroll looks for its seventh consecutive district victory Friday at 6 p.m. at Denton Guyer.
