Carroll was inducted in the prestigious Barkley Forum Society for the excellence they have achieved in competitions at Emory over the last 6 years. A placque was presented to the school in honor of this achievement. Only 236 programs have received this award over the last 75 years.

This year, Carroll upheld the tradition previously established by having Sophomore, Kevin O’Brien placing 2nd in the tournament and Junior, Megan Schippmann placing 7th. Dragon Forensics was the only school from Texas in the final round of the top 20.  The team’s next event will at Harvard University. Students leave Thursday, Feb. 16th. This will be the largest Congressional Debate Tournament in the country with more than 450 entrants competing.
