The Carroll Dragons claimed the first annual “Battle of 1709” with an impressive performance against Keller ISD last week. The Dragons defeated Keller 209-103 and the Lady Dragons won 214-100. The night also included honoring 28 Dragon senior swim and dive team members competing in their last home regular season meet. In addition, Dragon swimmer John Remetta (pictured) set a Carroll pool record of 59.69 in the breaststroke as did the boys’ 200 medley relay team.
The Dragons won all six relays and 15 of 18 individual events.

400 Free relay 3:41.90 with Emily Zapinski, Jennie Hall, Casey Rose and Lauren Wheeler
400 Free relay 3:15.96 with Ted Singley, Ryan Walker, John Ausdenmoore and Curtis Goss
