Girls Stay Undefeated In 7-5A; Boys' Streak Snapped

The Carroll Lady Dragons, ranked No. 4 in the state, moved to 8-0 in District 7-5A with a 60-32 victory at Fossil Ridge on Tuesday. Carroll remains alone in first place in league play.  The Lady Dragons were led by guard Kami Mickens’ 16 points. Gretchen Morrison added 15, Kennedy Leonard chipped in 11 and Sierra Maykus had 10. Leonard led Carroll with eight rebounds. The Lady Dragons are fighting through a rash of injuries, including the loss of Jenelle Jenkins for the season. The Lady Dragons return home Friday at 6 p.m. to host Keller. 

Fossil Ridge Snaps Dragons’ Win Streak
The Dragons fell Tuesday night 53-45 at Fossil Ridge and saw their three-game win streak in District 7-5A come to an end. The Dragons fell to 3-3 in district and 13-12 overall. Carroll fell behind 13-5 after the first quarter. Carroll was led by another big game by leading scorer Max Berman, who scored a game-high 23 points. Brett Jolly added nine for the Dragons and Jacob Watford had five. Carroll looks to rebound Friday when it hosts Keller at 7:30 p.m. at CSHS.
