The Carroll Lady Dragons returned to District 7-5A action Tuesday against rival Coppell. It was another dominating league performance by the Lady Dragons. Carroll improved to 20-2 overall and 4-0 in 7-5A with a 58-24 victory at CSHS.
The Lady Dragons rebounded from two losses in the Duncanville Tournament with a resounding showing that included a 27-6 lead by halftime. Carroll’s defense stifled Coppell (5-10, 1-3) and allowed just two points in the second quarter. Kayla Reinhart led all scorers with 12 points and Caitlin Barrett and Sierra Maykus each added 11. Kennedy Leonard chipped in nine and Kate Lewis had eight.
Carroll returns to action at 6 p.m. Friday at Keller Central. The Lady Dragons host Saginaw at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Boy Fall Against Coppell
The Dragons fell to 0-2 in District 7-5A with a home loss Tuesday to Coppell 59-32. Coppell outscored the Dragons 26-11 in the first quarter. The Dragons (10-11) were led by Max Berman’s 15 points. The Dragons play next at 7:30 p.m. at Keller Central on Friday before returning home to face Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
