Apex Brings Spring Opera to Southlake

The Apex Arts League, in conjunction with the music department of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, will present The Dallas Opera’s production of George Bizet’s Dr. Miracle on Sun. March 25 at 3 p.m. at The Bridge at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church located at 185 S. White’s Chapel Boulevard in Southlake. Suggested donation at the door is $10 for adults and $5 for Apex members, seniors and students.

Dr. Miracle is a hilarious one-act opera about a young man’s quest to marry his true love, the mayor’s daughter. He must disguise himself as a servant who makes a “poison” omelet, and as a doctor who saves the family—all for the sake of true love. Will the happy couple get married? Join The Dallas Opera for this family-friendly show and find out.

This production is in partnership with the SMU Vocal Department and UNT Opera Program. All performances are with piano accompaniment. More information about The Dallas Opera’s family performance series can be found at http://www.dallasopera.org/family/performances/2011-2012/drmiracle/.

The Apex Arts League is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance appreciation and participation in the performing and visual arts in Northeast Tarrant County. More information can be found at www.apexartsleague.org.
