Altrusa DFW Presents "A Run in the Park"

Calling all area families and runners everywhere! Lace up those sneakers…there’s a new race in town!

Altrusa DFW, in conjunction with the City ofSouthlake, invites runners, walkers, and families to explore the newly enhanced and expanded BicentennialParkwhile raising funds for local charities.  There will be food and goodies before and after the race, and NFL player Ryan Moats will be firing the starter’s pistol.

The 1K Family Walk/Run will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the 5K Timed Race at 8:30 a.m.  Awards for the race will be given in all age categories, including Overall and Masters.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the charities of Altrusa DFW, including: The Battered Women’s Foundation, Christmas is for Children, Fort Worth YWCA My Own Place Program, Annual School Supply Drive,  Local Scholarships and Others.
