Variety Show Spectacular

The Carroll ISD Choir Boosters are pleased with this year’s Annual Variety Show event. The fundraiser featured a myriad of acts over a two-night showcase Feb. 24-25. This was the 28th year for the annual variety show. The theme “A Night of Stars” was chosen by show organizers.

Young singers, dancers and musicians showcased their talents for audience members inside the Carroll Senior High School Auditorium. There were a total of 39 acts that took the stage during the Saturday, Feb. 25 evening performance. The entire show lasted about three hours with a 15 minute intermission.

Highlights of the Saturday show included a harp duet that played a video game medley, a great performance by 6 year old Chole O’Brien who sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”, as well as a Disney medley using the voice talents of Caroline Brown, Kaelyn Brown, Annie Newman, Kelsey Olohan and Beth Venesky. The audience also appeared to enjoy a family performance by Aaron, Nicole and Sean Choate. This father-daughter-son trio garnered applause for their cover of the classic 70’s tune “Stayin’ Alive”. Other acts include a performance by the “Green Men” and a group dance by members of Dana’s Studio of Dance.

The Variety Show is an annual fundraiser for the Carroll ISD Choir Boosters. Fees and ticket sales from the event will go to the organization that supports Carroll ISD Choir.
