The Southlake Economic Development & Tourism Department has been hard at work rolling out not only their new Visit Southlake Facebook fan page, but also launching an updated VisitSouthlakeTexas.com web page!
The Visit Southlake Facebook fan page launched on Monday, March 12 with the goal of increasing knowledge and awareness of City events and promoting tourism in the City. “The Facebook page is meant to serve as an extension to the VisitSouthlake.com website,” noted Jill Lind, Tourism Marketing Manager for the EDT Department. “Having the two mediums to provide strong presence of visitor information supports our overall Tourism mission for both visitors and residents interested in Southlake.”
On Tuesday, March 13 the Department launched its updated re-skin of the VisitSouthlakeTexas.com. The website is intended to give users an easier experience with its more streamlined look.
Over the past three years the EDT Department has made great strides in capturing visitors and providing key information to them. As part of the EDT Strategic Plan adopted by the Southlake City Council, the department has taken the new Tourism Marketing Campaign and filtered it into the VisitSouthlakeTexas.com website to maintain the Tourism message.
The intent for both the Visit Southlake Facebook fan page and the updated Visit Southlake web page is to entice and educate potential and existing tourists to the City, as well as City residents, by populating relevant and updated visitor related information.
