Green Fest Southlake Coming to Town Square

Carroll ISD, the City of Southlake and Greenfellows are partnering together again this year to bring the community a day long event of environmentally friendly activities and awareness. Green Fest, formerly known as Southlake Green Day, will be held Saturday, March 24 in Southlake Town Square. This year’s event theme is “Get Your Green On”.

Green Fest 2012 will feature a special “Sea and Recycle” exhibit courtesy of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Dawson Middle School students will display their solar powered cars and recycled art. Also, Carroll ISD students in grades K-6 are encouraged to save their empty juice pouches to earn tickets for an iPad drawing. Southlake Green Fest is part of Carroll ISD’s annual Celebrate Texas Public Schools event. Click here for details on district happenings and open houses.

Natex Architects is among this year’s sponsors, which include ASL Design, Central Market Southlake and OurGreatCity.com.
