Southlake is getting ready to Relay. The annual fundraiser is returning to the community for a third year of fun and fundraising to benefit the American Cancer Society. This year, Relay for Life Southlake starts on Friday, May 11 at Carroll High School. Over 50 teams have already signed up to participate. To join a team or register a new one, visit the Relay for Life Southlake website.
Everyone has a special reason why they participate in Relay for Life. Whether taking part in the event for yourself or on behalf of a friend or relative, Relay will move you. From games and activities for children, to stage entertainment for young adults there is something for everyone at Relay for Life.
Last year, Relay for Life Southlake raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the American Cancer Society. Due to bad weather, last year’s event was moved indoors but did not dampen the spirit of the event. Thousands of people filled the gym and cafeteria of Carroll High School for an abbreviated evening of Relay. Click here to watch a video from last year’s event.
Parents of younger children wanting to get involved in this year’s Relay can learn about special opportunities at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 21. Click here for details.
Organizers are currently selling t-shirts to advertise the event and show support for the American Cancer Society. Shirts cost $10, with half of the purchase price going towards Relay for Life. T-shirts can be purchased at the following locations:
