We will kick off the weekend Saturday morning at 9:00am and it will be a day packed full of fun and educational outdoor activities. There will be fishing demonstrations from Texas Junior Anglers, Dallas Dog and Disc will host its regional competition, Creature Teacher will inform us about local Texas wildlife and the Parks and Recreation department will have a variety kid-friendly craft and activities booths. Activities will end at 5:00pm on Saturday but we won’t be going home; families can campout overnight at the annual Spring Family Campout* and be first to join the activities again Sunday morning.
Sunday’s activities will start at 10:00am and we will continue all of the fun from the previous day. The annual Youth Fishing Day Competition will start at 11am, kids 16 and under can compete to catch the biggest fish and win one of several cool prizes like a new bike, fishing and camping equipment and a huge trophy. We will close out the weekend and hand out the awards for the fishing competition at 3:00pm Sunday.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.at Bob Jones Park . So pack up the family and come join the City of Southlake at this new event that encourages everyone to get outdoors, enjoy nature and preserve our environment!
