DFW Connector Construction Affects Southlake This Weekend

Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27th, NorthGate Constructors will close the Northwest Highway Bridge (also known as the Gateway Bridge), as well as the eastbound frontage road to Southlake Boulevard.  During that same time period, Northgate constructors will move traffic from the eastbound SH 114 on-ramp west of Northwest Hwy to FM 1709 to the right (south) onto detour pavement.

This traffic switch is necessary for asphalt paving at the eastbound State Highway 114 (SH 114) frontage road between the Northwest Highway and FM 1709 bridges. The work will help with construction on the new Southlake Boulevard Bridge over SH 114.

Traffic will be detoured to Kimball Avenue via the SH 114 frontage road.   For those who are attending this weekend’s Art in the Square event and are coming to Southlake from Northwest Highway, please use the detour then get onto SH 114.  Then exit Carroll, head south on Carroll to Southlake Town Square.  To see a detour map from Kimball Avenue to FM 1709, please click here.

The roadwork is scheduled to be complete on Monday morning at 6:00 a.m.  For the latest information, please check the City of Southlake’ s Facebook page.
