A DPS Volunteer's Story

A DPS Volunteer’s Story ~

In 2004 my family experienced a horrific home invasion and robbery.  My daughters were home alone that night and it forever changed them.  Our experience with the Southlake DPS Police Department began that evening and what a blessing it truly was.  We were so impressed with their genuine professionalism, concern and compassion.

Several years later my daughter had a severe allergic reaction that caused her throat to close and she collapsed.  It happened early one Sunday morning.  We called 9-1-1 for help and we, once again, experienced the true compassion of Southlake DPS Police and Fire Services.  The remarkable individuals of Southlake Fire and Rescue were above reproach.

I was so influenced by the caliber of individuals of Southlake DPS, I wanted to give back and show appreciation.  I joined Southlake DPS Citizens Association as a community volunteer.

I am so fortunate to live in a community with the most wonderful and caring public safety professionals.

I am forever grateful.

Cindy Robinson

*Cindy volunteers her time and efforts in so many ways.  She is a brilliant photographer and takes many wonderful pictures for us.  She also “pitches in” in numerous others ways including recently by helping to coordinate the appreciation reception and photographic tribute to the 9-1-1 dispatchers who serve the cities of Colleyville, Keller, Southlake and Westlake. Thank you Cindy for all that you and our other volunteers do for us.
