Carroll Celebrates School Nurses

The week of May 7, 2012 is National Nurses Week and this year, Wednesday, May 9 is National School Nurse Day. The National Association of School Nurses set aside the date to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses int he educational setting.

Carroll ISD has 13 school nurses on staff serving over 7,000 students in the district:

• Johnson Elementary School: Susan Bonczyk
• Old Union Elementary School: Janet Lane, Melody Cooley
• Rockenbaugh Elementary School: Cheryl Grotheer
• Walnut Grove Elementary: Susan Hogan
• Durham Intermediate School: Cathy Krieger
• Eubanks Intermediate School: Pattie Steven
• Carroll Middle School: Betty Sullivan
• Dawson Middle School: Marie Okerson
• Carroll High School: Theresa Riggs, Dorita Sanchez
• Carroll Senior High School: Karen Flexer
