Electronics Recycling Event comes to Southlake on June 2

On Saturday, June 2nd, the City of Southlake in partnership with Texas Recovery Systems will provide residents an opportunity to recycle telecommunications and electronics material (no televisions, please) in an environmentally safe manner.

The event will be held at the Public Works Operations Center, which is located at 1950 E. Continental Blvd. from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or until full.  Please bring a current water bill or driver’s license to show proof of residency. As well, please note that this event is separate from the Crud Cruiser event that will take place on June 2 at Dragon Stadium.

The following items will be accepted at the event:

  • All types of circuit boards
  • Computers
  • Laptops
  • Cell phones
  • Bridges, hubs, and modems
  • Electronic test equipment
  • Telephone equipment
  • Scientific equipment
  • Medical equipment
  • Semiconductor components
  • Servers and drives
  • Main frame systems
  • Data storage devices
  • Networking hardware
  • Cabling and wire
  • Junction boxes and switch gear
  • Power supplies
  • Electrical hardware
  • Commercial and Industrial salvage
  • All scrap metals
  • Special alloys
  • Surplus and overstock items

Items that will not be accepted include TVs, hazardous waste, radioactive material, microwave ovens, and wyse or dumb terminals.
