On Friday in the men’s competition, the Dragons defeated Cypress Creek 7-4 but then lost their second match to Clear Creek 13-7 in this double-elimination tournament..

Saturday, the Lady Dragons lost their first game of the morning to Houston’s Clear Creek 13-8 and then were eliminated with a loss to Clear Springs 13-6.  The men won their first elimination game over Clear Falls 11-8, and earned a match with local rival, St. Marks of Dallas.  St. Marks overpowered the Dragons 13-8.  Both the men and women finished 5th overall, up from 9th last year.  When the All-State teams were announced at the conclusion of the tournament,  the Men were represented by Aaron Cox, who made the First team.  And the women were represented by Eden Henderson, who made the Second Team.  Also receiving honorable mention for the Lady Dragons were Veronica Hadley and Nicole Stotts.
