Former Dragon Receiver Signs With Philadelphia

Former Carroll Dragon all-state wide receiver McKay Jacobson is now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacobson, who played at BYU, signed a rookie free agent contract with the Eagles following last weekend’s NFL Draft.  Jacobson (5-foot-11, 199 pounds) was a four-year standout at BYU and finished his career with 113 catches for 1,836 yards and nine touchdowns. He also averaged 18.6 yards as a kick returner and 13.7 on punt returns.

During his time at BYU, Jacobson served an LDS Mission in Japan and is fluent in Japanese. Jacobson was one of 13 free agent signees by the Eagles and will report to the team’s rookie mini-camp May 12-14. Jacobson’s younger brother Tanner Jacobson, a junior, was a starting safety on the Dragons’ 2011 state championship team.
