Ex-Dragon Begins Professional Career

Just one month ago, former Carroll pitcher Ross Stripling was completing his senior year for the Texas A&M Aggies.  The Aggies suffered an early exit in this year’s NCAA tournament, losing in the Regionals to Ole Miss. Just days later, Stripling was drafted in the 5th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Stripling signed and joined the Ogden (Utah) Raptors, the Dodgers’ rookie league squad. Now 27 games into their season, Stripling has made five appearances, including three starts, and owns a 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in 11 innings pitched. Stripling’s next start is scheduled for Thursday, July 19, against the Great Falls Voyagers.
