The Christmas Shoppe Spreading Holiday Cheer to the Troops

The Christmas Shoppe is collecting items for Troops in Afghanistan this Holiday Season. Various items are being gathered to send to Cpl. Daniel Taylor who is currently deployed to Afghanistan as a US Marine Corps sniper. Cpl. Taylor’s wife, Kim, is one of the employees at The Christmas Shoppe and that puts Cpl. Taylor in a special place in the hearts at the Shoppe.

Items are being collected all day every day for people interested in spreading the holiday cheer to our troops with a hometown heart. Financial donations are being collected as well to help cover the cost of shipping. The Christmas Shoppe’s plan is to ship one box per week to Cpl. Taylor and his crew, but Items can be dropped off during regular hours at The Shoppe in Southlake (1450 Main Street, open Mon-Sat 10-6 pm). So far, The Shoppe has sent approximately 10 boxes this season and is hoping to have Santa help with a few more! So if you are looking for a way to celebrate the season, consider this worthy cause not only to share a piece of the holidays with our troops, but to say thank you to those protecting our freedom!
