Hardware Haul for Dragon CompSci

The Carroll Dragons Computer Science Team came home with an abundance of medals and trophies following the Paschal High School Annual Halloween Invitational Competition in Fort Worth last month.

The results from the event are listed below:

In the Novice Team competition-

  • 1st place – Jake Rowland, Matt Kendzior, and Jonathan Brosnan

In the Advanced Team competition-

  • 2nd place – Reid Long, Erik Andrup, Abbas Ally
  • 3rd place – Nick Fisher, Danielle Brown, and Angie Liang

In the Advanced UIL (individual) category-

  • 1st place went to Reid Long
  • 2nd place went to Erik Andrup
  • 6th place went to Vijay Ramesh

In the Novice UIL (individual) category-

  • 1st place went to Matt Kendzior
  • 2nd place went to Jake Rowland
  • 4th  place went to Angie Liang

“The students worked very hard to successfully represent Southlake Carroll in a challenging academic competition,” said Linda Woessner Computer Science and Robotics Coach at Carroll Senior High School.

The team competed on Nov. 3 at UT Dallas and again Nov. 17 at Richardson High School.
