Several traffic switches and ramp openings will take place near DFW Airport starting January 18th as a result of the DFW Connector project. The permanent changes will be complete on January 21st.
1) Southbound Service Road To Southbound International Parkway
Ramp Closing: The ramp from the southbound Service Road to International Parkway and the terminals will be permanently closed on January 18, 2013.
Traffic Impact: Cars, trucks and buses will no longer be able to take eastbound Airfield Drive to the southbound Service Road ramp to access International Parkway and the terminals.
Detour: All eastbound vehicles accessing the DFW terminals should use Hwy State Highway 114 East. Detour signage will be installed on eastbound Mustang Drive routing traffic to exit the Grapevine Main Street Bridge onto SH 114 E to enter the Airport from the north on International Parkway.
2) Southbound International Parkway To Southbound Service Road
Ramp Opening: On January 21, 2013, a new ramp will open prior to the north Control Plaza entrance from southbound International Parkway to the Service Road. This traffic switch, including all permanent signage, will be accomplished beginning at 8:00 p.m. on January 18th and completed by 6:00 a.m. on January 21st.
