Dragon Baseball Ranked No. 5 In The State

The Carroll Dragon baseball team has earned preseason state recognition. The Dragons are ranked No.5 in Class 5A by the Texas High School Association of Baseball Coaches. Carroll, which finished one victory shy of the state tournament last season, is the highest ranked team from Dallas-Fort Worth. Arlington Martin is ranked No. 9 and knocked Carroll out of the playoffs last season in the Region I finals.

Carroll returns several key players including ace left-hander Tyler Alexander, who has signed with TCU. Other top returnees include third baseman Kenny Hill, catcher Hayden Zier, outfielder Drew Brown and pitchers Ben Leeper and Sean Thompson.
