Around The Horn: Lady Dragons Play Under Lights

The Carroll Lady Dragon softball team had an historic night Tuesday. The program played under the lights on campus for the first time in the school district’s history.

The lights were recently installed at both the softball and baseball fields and Tuesday marked the first game action under the lights. The Lady Dragons made it more memorable with a 13-2 District 4-5A victory over Keller Timber Creek. Alex Schneider earned the victory on the mound and Lauren Heintzelman had a three-run home run and four RBI to pace the Lady Dragon offense. The Lady Dragons are 13-3 overall and 2-0 in district and play at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Richland.
