Three Carroll Runners Compete In National Event

SEATTLE — Three Carroll athletes participated in the prestigious Brooks PR Invitational on Feb. 24. Now in its third year, Brooks has brought together the fastest high school athletes from around the country to compete on one of the fastest tracks in the nation – the Dempsey.

Courtney Kriegshauser placed 6th of 12 athletes in the 1-Mile and a time of 4:50:94. The Vanderbilt signee is the defending state champion in the 1,600 meter.

Trevor Gilley placed 1st with a time of 4:08:24 in the 1-Mile. Gilley has signed with Ole Miss and has PR of 4:09 in the 1,600 meters. He placed 6th last year at the state meet.

Joe Sansone finished 9th of 17 athletes competing in the 2-Mile with a 9:09:24. The North Carolina signee has a 9:09 PR which he ran at the Texas Relays last year.
