Alexander Posts 12 Ks, Blanks Haltom

TCU signee Tyler Alexander had 12 strikeouts in the 7-0 win against Haltom.

Carroll lefthander Tyler Alexander continued his impressive senior season. The TCU signee went six innings and had 12 strikeouts in a 7-0 victory against Haltom last Thursday in District 4-5A action. The Dragons (18-3, 6-1) were led offensively by two-hit performances by Drew Brown and Kenny Hill. Right-hander Ben Leeper threw one inning in relief. Haltom was held to five hits while the Dragons produced a 12-hit attack.

The Dragons host Keller Central at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dragon Field and travel to Timber Creek at 7 p.m. Friday.

Tuesday: CISD Special Programs, Miracle League, and Autism Awareness Night
CISD Special Programs, the Miracle League, and Autism Awareness will be recognized at the Keller Central game Tuesday. All CISD students wearing a Dragon T-shirt should check in at the CISD Special Programs’  table at the front gate.

Play It Forward Southlake and the Dragon Varsity Baseball Team
The Dragon baseball team is partnering with Play It Forward Southlake to collect new and gently-used basketballs for the Dallas Mavericks’ Wesley Rankin gymnasium renovation in South Dallas. All fans donating a basketball will be entered into a drawing for a prize. A Play It Forward Southlake collection barrel will be available at the April 2 game. Please look for the barrel and Play It Forward Southlake members at the entrance gate to donate equipment and receive a raffle ticket.
