Dragon Distance Relay Teams Takes Gold

The Carroll Dragon and Lady Dragon distance medley relay teams won gold medals at the prestigious Texas Relays at the University of Texas last weekend.

The Lady Dragon team of Tig Archer, Kami Mickens, Katie Burnham and Courtney Kriegshauser raced to a first-place finish followed by an exciting first-place finish by the team of Joe Sansone, Aaron Hoagland, Regen Hatcher, and Trevor Gilley.  

The Dragons and Lady Dragons took 32 athletes to compete at the Texas Relays. Saturday morning Connor Hendrickson secured an individual medal in the 3,200 meters with a time of 9:10.  The Dragons also earned a second-place finish int the 4×800 relay from the team of Matt Odneal, Regen Hatcher, Joe Sansone and Trevor Gilley.

The District 4-5A meet will be held in Keller April 10-11.
