On Friday, Oct. 18 students and teachers at Rockenbaugh Elementary School participated in a day long learning experiment focusing on science.
Organized by science teacher Ginger Jones, Rockenbaugh Elementary’s Science Explorations Day was a big success with the help of parents. Classes rotated within their grade level to five or six science stations and activities. Some of the activities included, stop rockets, dry ice explorations and homemade silly putty.
In the afternoon, the RES PTO hosted staff members from the Dallas Zoo. Employees brought unique animals including a sloth, alligator, porcupine and more. Zookeepers talked about the various animals habitats, myths and fun facts.
