Dragon Sports News: Tennis Defeats Richland For Area Title

It was an outstanding Friday of tennis for the Carroll Dragons. The team defeated Richland 10-1 Friday afternoon to win the area championship. Before facing Richland, the Dragons knocked off Keller 10-1 earlier in the day. Follow @SLCAthletics on Twitter for updates.

EIS Student Medals At Junior Pan Ams
Eubanks Intermediate School fifth grader Jackson Miller had an impressive showing for Team USA at the Junior Pan American Diving Championships. He won the bronze medal on the 3-meter springboard, sixth place on the 5-meter platform and fourth place on the 1-meter springboard. The event was held in Tuscon, Ariz.

Sophomore Wins Third Place In Fencing Event
Carroll High School sophomore Austin Hunter Crawford recently won third place in the Division II Men’s Epee event at the United States Fencing Association’s North American Cup International Competiton. The event was held last weekend.

Dragon Golf Takes Third In Texarkana
The Dragons golf team finished third last weekend at “The Classic” in Texarkana. After a difficult first day, the Dragons rallied behind junior Colin Hamilton who led the team with rounds of 75 and 77. The next Dragon finishers behind Hamilton were: Triston Fisher, Jorge Morillo, Mason Greenberg and Brandon McKelvey.

Lady Dragon Volleyball Faces Northwest
The Carroll Lady Dragon volleyball team faces Northwest at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Northwest. Carroll remains undefeated in District 4-5A with five games left before the playoffs.
