KELLER – The No. 8-ranked Carroll Dragons played their first district road game last Thursday and rolled to an impressive victory.
The Dragons defeated Timber Creek 77-6 to improve to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 4-5A action. Carroll, which has won four consecutive games, led 49-6 at the half and had 70 points after three quarters. This was the first of three consecutive road games for the Dragons.
Carroll produced 569 yards of offense and 30 first downs while holding Timber Creek to 165 yards and 11 first downs. Dragon quarterback Ryan Agnew was 13-of-17 passing for 255 yards and two TDs. The Dragons also produced two 100-yard rushers for the second consecutive game. A.J. Ezzard had 14 carries for 117 yards and three TDs, while Lil’ Jordan Humphrey had 11 for 111 and one TD.
Agnew added 44 yards rushing and two TDs. Luke Timian was his top target finishing with six catches for 132 yards and one TD.

Carroll faces Richland at 7:30 p.m. Friday at BISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex. Pre-game tickets can be purchased this week at Dragon Stadium, Carroll Senior High School and Carroll High School. Pre-game tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. All tickets at the game are $8. Tickets to the Richland game are not available online.
