DFW Hemophilia Walk a Success for CISD Students

The DFW Walk for Hemophilia held last month at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie has been deemed a success for Carroll ISD students who formed teams and participated in the event. Organizers say the children had a great time and the chilly autumn air was perfect 5K weather.

Peyton Brush’s team “Peyton’s Peeps”, raised $6,500 this year. This puts his personal walk team at over $20,000 since our walk began just three years ago. Peyton is a student at Eubanks Intermediate School. Wadi Hamud’s team, Wadi’s Walk Stars”, raised almost $2600 in their first year. Wadi is a student at Durham Intermediate. The team’s combined efforts raised $10,000 for the 2013 event. There were additional Dragons from Carroll High and Carroll Senior High working at the event as volunteers.
