Southlake Holiday Activities for the Whole Family

Santa at Southlake's Santa Village

There are numerous events occurring in Southlake this holiday season. Children may enjoy different crafting opportunities, story times with both the Grinch and Mrs. Claus, cookie decorating with Buddy the Elf, Polar Express Movie Night, Spider’s Christmas Surprise Puppet Show and Breakfast with Santa in Town Hall (canceled due to inclement weather, click here for refund information). Click here to view details about all the Southlake Town Hall holiday activities. Children may also share their Christmas list and have their picture taken with Santa at Santa’s Village in Town Square. Santa and his elves will remain in Southlake through Christmas Eve.

Holiday Break Camp Mania is another activity for children. Similar to summer camp, this winter camp offers children an exciting and safe environment during their time away from school. Children between the ages of 5 to 11 years old will enjoy games, crafts, movies, field trips, and other activities. There are three sessions this year, November 25th-27th, December 23rd-27th, and December 30th-January 3rd.  However, camp will not be held on December 24th, December 25th, or January 1st. Learn more about this exciting program here.

While the children are busy with holiday activities, adults may take advantage of Christmas shopping. Many of the over 260 retailers in Southlake will have extended Black Friday shopping hours. Some retailers will open as early as Thanksgiving night on Thursday, November 28th. Shoppers may choose to celebrate locally-owned businesses on Saturday, November 30th. Small Business Saturday® is a nation-wide opportunity to support and shop small retailers.

Families will enjoy seeing all of the Christmas lights in Town Square by taking horse-drawn carriage rides. Guests may enjoy rides on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings through Christmas. Private reservations may be made for daytime carriage rides.

Radio station 94.9 KLTY will broadcast from Town Square on Saturday, November 30th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Listeners are encouraged to stop by and write holiday cards for area nursing homes. KLTY will make another broadcast from Southlake on December 24th at Chick-Fil-A. Story submissions will be read and wishes will be granted from 5:00am to 10:00am during the 94.9 KLTY Christmas Wish ™program.
