District Action Heats Up For Carroll Teams

The Carroll Dragon boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are now in the full swing of District 4-5A play. Here is an update on both teams:

Carroll Lady Dragons First Place In 4-5A
The Lady Dragons are 18-4 overall and in first place at 5-0 in District 4-5A. Carroll has defeated Keller Central, Timber Creek, Richland, Northwest and Keller in district. The Lady Dragons return to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Fossil Ridge and host Haltom at 6 p.m. Friday. The Lady Dragons’ last victory was 54-45 last Friday against Keller.

Carroll Dragons Reach Nelson Tournament Final
During the holiday break, the Dragons reached the championship of the Byron Nelson Tournament before falling to Keller 37-33. The Dragons play at Fossil Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Carroll is seeking its first District 4-5A victory after losses to Northwest, Keller and Richland.
