Orange Barrel Alert – North Carroll Avenue Bridge – Texas Turnaround Update

Expect delays around the N. Carroll Avenue Bridge at SH 114 beginning Friday, May 2, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning, May 3, 2014 as TxDOT’s contractor will be setting bridge beams for the Texas Turnaround at SH 114 project.

In order to prevent a major traffic backup, please observe the following changes to normal traffic patterns:

• Eastbound and westbound SH114 main lane through traffic will be diverted on to the service roads to bypass the Texas Turnaround construction site. Officers will be on scene directing traffic through the intersections so please be aware of the likelihood of slower than normal traffic.
• Northbound and southbound N. Carroll Avenue traffic will have access to the N. Carroll Avenue Bridge at SH 114. It is recommended however, that motorists seek alternate routes to cross SH 114 as delays will be likely.
• SH 114 will still be accessible via N. White Chapel Boulevard and Kimball Avenue.

Message boards will be placed north and southbound N. Carroll Avenue warning motorists of the delay. So please be on the lookout for those. Using alternate routes is recommended.
