Dragons Host Lacrosse Super Regional This Weekend

LacrosseThe Texas High School Lacrosse League Super Regional is coming to Dragon Stadium this weekend. The Dragons are among the eight teams competing.

The 10-team field regional will be held Saturday and Sunday. The Dragons face San Antonio Anderson at 4 p.m. Saturday. If the Dragons win, they will play Sunday at 1 p.m. in a state quarterfinal against The Woodlands.

The Dragons reached the Super Regional with a dramatic game-winning goal with eight seconds left to defeat defending state champion St. Marks 9-7. The THSLL state championship will be held May 3-4 at Friendswood High School.

Before the playoffs, the Dragons defeated Allen and Coppell in their final two regular season games to reach the playoffs.

Tickets for each day are $8 for students, $10 for adults. Tickets are $2 for Carroll ISD students with ID to the Dragons games. Parking is free. More information can be found at southlakelacrosse.org and Twitter @SCLADragonLax.
