The Carroll Lady Dragon softball team delivered an impressive performance in the Class 5A bi-district playoffs.
The Lady Dragons (19-12) shocked Arlington Martin (25-5) with series sweep winning 6-3 and 4-0. Carroll completed the upset sweep with a shutout Friday night at Carroll Senior High School.
Martin entered the series as the No. 1 seed after going undefeated in District 3-5A. Alex Schneider earned the victory on the mound and Alexa Wimberly went 3-for-3 with two RBI. Entering the series, Martin had just three losses.

The Lady Dragons advance to meet Midland in an area playoff series starting Friday at Brownwood High School.
