Water Polo Teams Qualify for State Championships

The Carroll boys’ and girls’ varsity water polo teams competed in the TISCA North Region Championships last weekend. The Lady Dragons defeated Rockwall to win first place. The Dragons finished third and defeated Denton Ryan in double overtime. Both Carroll teams qualified for the state championships this weekend in Austin.

Maddie Hall – Honorable Mention
Ana Warner – Honorable Mention
Nate Winkler – Honorable Mention

Lowery, Warner, Weisert and Winkler were the only freshmen in the North Region named to the All-Region team. Coach Joespeh Yglesia was named Coach of the Year for the Lady Dragons.
