Landers Named New WGES Assistant Principal

Mike Landers has been named assistant principal at Walnut Grove Elementary.

Carroll ISD has named Mike Landers as the new assistant principal at Walnut Grove Elementary.

Currently, Landers is the assistant principal at Johnson Elementary, a role he has held for the past seven years. Landers will finish the remainder of this year at JES before moving into his new role for the 2014-2015 school year.

“It has been a genuine honor to be a part of the Johnson Elementary  family the past seven years,” Landers said. “I will always cherish and value the life-long relationships I’ve had the privilege to develop. Likewise, I’m eager and excited at the opportunity to offer my talents to the WGES community, as well as build strong relationships with the Walnut Grove students, families and staff.”

Landers replaces Christina Benhoff, who was named Dawson Middle School assistant principal in February. He has 15 years experience in education.

The JES assistant principal opening will be posted soon.
