Carroll Lady Dragon basketball coach Teri Morrison has been named one of four coaches in the nation to work with USA Basketball for the Under 17 team trials.

The court coaches will assist the 2014 USA Women’s U17 World Championship Team coaching staff of head mentor Sue Phillips (Archbishop Mitty H.S./San Jose Cagers AAU, Calif.) and assistant coaches Mary Coyle Klinger (Rutgers Preparatory School, N.J.) and Brian Robinson (Bishop McGuinness H.S./Stealers AAU, N.C.) during trials, which will take place May 22-26 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Morrison, who coaches at Carroll Senior High School, also will be coaching with USA Basketball for the first time. The head coach at Carroll for the past five seasons (2009-2010 to present), Morrison has compiled a career record of 595-237 (.715 winning percentage) in 25 years as a high school head coach.

“I am honored to be a part of USA basketball for the U17 team trials,” Morrison said. “The opportunity of working with a great team of coaches and players is a dream come true for me.”
