Alexander Helps Lead Frogs to Omaha

Alexander leads the CWS-bound TCU with 10 victories this season.

Tyler Alexander’s first year playing college baseball has been a memorable one, and it keeps getting better. The TCU Horned Frogs are headed to their second appearance in the College World Series.

The left-hander is Omaha-bound as one of TCU’s top starters. He was named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball News. He recently led the Frogs to the Big 12 tournament championship tossing a complete game against Oklahoma State in the championship.

The Frogs open CWS action against Big 12 mate Texas Tech at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15. Follow TCU baseball on Twitter.

Alexander leads the team in victories at 10-3. He holds a 2.16 ERA and has 58 strikeouts and 11 walks in 95.2 innings. Alexander served as the Frogs’ No. 3 starter in Big 12 play.
