Get ready for a new twist to the traditional fall family campout! Ghosts, goblins, goodies and fun are lurking in the woods of Bob Jones Park! The fall campout will be a howling good time as we put a Halloween twist to this annual favorite.
The campout will be Saturday, October 11 – Sunday, October 12 at the Bob Jones Park Day Camp Area (near the BooBoo’s Buddies Dog Park). Tent set up may begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $25.00 per campsite, which includes the cost for two campers. Each additional camper is $10.00 and there is a limit of five people per campsite. The registration fee includes dinner on Saturday and breakfast Sunday morning. Children must register with at least one adult.
Campers will hike, play games, roast marshmallows and listen to stories around the campfire. In addition to all the typical campout activities, there will be a haunted trail, prizes for the spookiest campsite and the best costume and other family-friendly Halloween activities. There will even be a speical guest to introduce campers to some ‘spooky’ and slimy critters!
City of Southlake staff will help with tent set-up and tear down, prepare dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning and will have plenty of fun activities for the family. Participants are welcome to pick and choose which actives they would like to partake in or are just welcome to relax by the fire.
