Cross Country Teams Race to First in Corpus

Both the boys and girls varsity cross country teams snagged first place and achieved perfect scores when they traveled to Corpus Christi for their annual trip to the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelina Invitational. The Carroll teams dominated despite humid and muddy conditions. Scoring a perfect 15, the Carroll Boys were led by Eli Canal (16:01), Ansel Richards (16:18), Timou Toure (16:23), Reed Brown (16:24:49) and Shea Whatley (16:24:78). The Lady Dragons also reached perfection in their score with Denae Chapman (19:07) leading the charge, followed by Sarah Odneal (19:43), Rianna Randoph (19:49), Gillian Mortimer (20:00) and Kayli Jones (20:02).
