Southlake Women's Club Presents Fundraising Checks to CISD Schools

SWC Check 2015 (1)The Southlake Women’s Club is proud to announce that the 2014 annual School Supply Sale raised $23,000 for the 8 participating CISD schools. Those schools are: Carroll Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Old Union Elementary, Walnut Grove Elementary, Durham Intermediate, Eubanks Intermediate, Carroll Middle, and Dawson Middle School.

Checks of $2,875 were presented to the principal of each school at the January SWC luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 8 at Timarron Country Club. The principals were given the opportunity to tell club members of their planned use for the funds. Most administrators said they intended to use the money for technology purchases, other planned purchases include: conference fees for teachers, campus improvements and an area rug to enhance music class.
