Hoops Update: Lady Dragons Grab First Place in 7-6A

Carroll Dragons 11 BBThe Carroll Lady Dragons now own first place in District 7-6A. The Lady Dragons defeated Trinity 57-49 in a showdown at CSHS. Both teams entered the game undefeated after four district games. Carroll (5-0 in district) was led in scoring by the the duo of Kennedy Leonard (22 points) and Priscilla Smeenge (21 points). The Lady Dragons outscored Trinity in each of the first three quarters. On Friday, the Lady Dragons travel to face Colleyville Heritage at 6:30 p.m.

Dragons Fall to Trinity
The Dragon boys’ basketball team fell 78-72 in a close battle with Trinity. Carroll (8-7, 1-2 in District 7-6A) rallied from a seven-point deficit at halftime. The Dragons were led by Lil’ Jordan Humphrey’s game-high 28 points. Hunter Summy added 17 points. Carroll returns to action on the road Friday at 8 p.m. vs. Colleyville Heritage.
