Committee Requests Feedback On School Transitions

committeeSTRATEGIC PLANNING  – Carroll ISD has more than a 100 volunteer citizens and employees working on a Strategic Planning process to develop new goals, objectives and strategies for the school district. The process started last fall and will continue well into the spring semester.

Ten different action committees have formed to address portions of the DRAFT plan on topics from school safety and recruitment of quality staff to compassionate service and post-secondary goals for students.

At least one action committee is looking into student transitions into Intermediate, Middle, and High School. The subcommittee is requesting parent feedback, specifically about grades 5, 7, and 9.

Parents of current CISD students are being asked to share their feedback with members of the committee. A separate group is obtaining input and feedback from Dragon students. Parents in CISD are invited to participate in this public feedback process.

Please reach out to Nancy Dockal at nancydockal@verizon.net with both positive and negative comments on your experiences and your student’s experiences with these transitions as it applies to their academic, physical, and emotional wellbeing.

Please give feed back on Carroll ISD’s current processes and any area for improvements.  Ideally the committee would like feedback by February 22, but will continue accepting input until the end of February.
