Storyteller Makes Return Visit to Durham

Cornish

Storyteller DeCee Cornish returned to share stories with DIS students.

Storyteller and historian DeCee Cornish, was back by popular demand and presented stories to all Durham Intermediate 5th and 6th graders during their Language Art classes.

Cornish, who also teaches storytelling at Tarrant County College, shared tales from the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War II, and the Titanic as well as mythology and “just for fun” stories.

“All of our students at DIS learn something new when DeCee Cornish shares his stories,” DIS Librarian Suzie Green said. “He makes history come alive and leaves our students asking for one more story. We look forward to his visit every year.”
